Step-by-step connection guide

1

Choose Cloudflare R2

Open Add Cloud Connection and select Cloudflare R2. It is marked as recommended for R2 buckets.

2

Enter bucket and account ID

Paste your bucket name and account ID. CloudPairs auto-fills the endpoint as https://<account-id>.r2.cloudflarestorage.com.

3

Add access keys

Enter the R2 Access Key ID and Secret Access Key from the Cloudflare dashboard.

4

Test connection

CloudPairs validates the endpoint and bucket listing before saving.

5

Start transferring

Open R2 in one pane and local, S3, SFTP, Dropbox, OneDrive, pCloud, WebDAV, or Synology in the other.

Use R2 safely and efficiently

Use scoped keys

Create R2 keys scoped to only the buckets needed by this desktop workflow.

Region is automatic

R2 uses the S3-compatible API and CloudPairs stores region as auto for the R2 provider.

Common connection issues

Endpoint does not connect

Confirm the account ID and bucket name. If you typed a custom endpoint, compare it with the R2 dashboard format.

Permission denied

Check the R2 token permissions and whether it is scoped to the selected bucket.
