Requirements

CloudPairs installed on Windows 10/11.

Permission to access the local folder, external drive, or network-mounted volume.

At least one destination connection if you plan to upload or back up files.

Step-by-step connection guide

1

Open File Explorer

Choose File Explorer from the left navigation. CloudPairs starts with local sources available even before you add a cloud connection.

2

Pick a local source

Use Home, Desktop, Downloads, Documents, Pictures, or a detected drive from the sidebar. On Windows, each drive can be opened in the left or right pane.

3

Pair it with another pane

Open a cloud connection, server, or another local folder in the opposite pane. Dual-pane mode makes local-to-cloud and folder-to-folder transfers visible.

4

Transfer or organize files

Copy, move, rename, create folders, delete, or drag files between panes. Folder transfers run through the queue for progress and retry.

Use Local safely and efficiently

Use single-pane mode for small screens

Settings -> Appearance lets you switch between dual pane and single pane if a laptop display is tight.

Choose a download folder

Set a custom download folder in Settings when you want all cloud downloads to land in a specific workspace.

Common connection issues

A local folder is not visible

Check Windows permissions and whether the drive is mounted.

A transfer fails due to permissions

Try a folder your user account owns, or run the operation on a destination where you have write access.
