How to Connect WebDAV or Nextcloud to CloudPairs

Use WebDAV for Nextcloud, ownCloud, Apache/Nginx DAV, and compatible servers. Passwords or app passwords stay in the OS keychain.

Before you start

Requirements

WebDAV server URL.

Username and password or app password.

Custom DAV URL if your server does not use CloudPairs auto-detected paths.

Setup

Step-by-step connection guide

Choose Nextcloud / WebDAV

Open Add Cloud Connection and select Nextcloud / WebDAV.

Enter server URL

Use your base server URL, such as https://cloud.example.com. For custom servers, enable Advanced and paste the full DAV URL.

Add username and app password

For Nextcloud, generate an app password under Settings -> Security -> Devices and sessions.

Test connection

CloudPairs verifies the DAV listing before saving.

Save and browse

Open WebDAV in a pane and move files to local disks or any connected cloud/server.

Common connection issues

404 or not found

Use the full custom DAV URL, for example /remote.php/dav/files/<username>/ for Nextcloud.

401 unauthorized

Regenerate the app password and verify the username exactly matches the server account.
